Certificate of Achievement January & February 2014

We needed to consolidate our learning in spinning silk so January and February’s meetings concentrated on different types of silk, both the ones we had used in the October workshop and other types from our stash. Is it just me or do we all go a bit mad when silk fibre is on sale?

In February’s meeting we also judged our fibre swap challenge. Won by a really nice ball of yarn made by Sue. We were delighted to be joined by two guests.

Future meetings include: more spinning thick in March, more fancy yarns in April, a cotton workshop with Amanda Hannaford followed by a mentoring session in May and, planning further ahead, a trip to Jane Deane’s silk farm in June and another to Kaffe Fasset’s exhibition at The American Museum, Bath date tba.
